ROADWORKS are set to cause a long-term closure in Colchester.
St Johns Green/Flagstaff Road will temporarily close from its junction with Southway to the junction with Walsingham Road on July 26 for 82 days.
A “no waiting, no loading and no stopping” restriction in that length of the road will be introduced for the closure.
* Look out for Station Road to close in Thorrington.
A length of the road will close from its junction with Church Road to its junction with Great Bentley Road for one night on July 31, until 8.30am.
The closure is for the safety of the public and workforce while level crossing works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.
* Another road closure in Colchester will last for five days.
Winters Hill, in Layer Marney, will close from its junction with Clears Road to its junction with Roundbush Road.
The closure will last five days from July 26 as drainage investigation works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
* Drainage works will cause a road to close for 56 days.
Chitts Hill, in West Bergholt, will close from a point north of the junction with Cooks Lane for a distance of approximately 3,165m.
The closure is scheduled to commence on September 13.
* A road in Brightlingsea is also closing for a day.
Colne Road is scheduled to close from its junction with Nelson Street for 60m north-west on August 15 for one day due to cable replacement works being undertaken by UK Power Networks.* Constable Avenue, in Clacton, is scheduled to close from its junction with St Johns Road to its junction with Cottage Grove.
The road will close for five days on August 6 while carriageway patching works are undertaken by the county council.* Openreach is carrying out pole testing works on Greyhound Hill, in Colchester.
This means that length of the road will be closed from a point north-east of its junction with School Road for approximately 265m.
The closure is scheduled to last one day on August 5.
* Drainage works will cause a five-day closure in Colchester.
The length of New Church Road, in West Bergholt, from its junction with Lexden Road to its junction with Chapel Road, is scheduled to close on August 9 for five days.
* Look out for another road closure in Colchester.
Warren Lane, in Stanway, is shutting from its junction with Blackberry Road to its junction with Bailey Dale for two nights from August 9.
It is while underground cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.
* Openreach is carrying out fibre optic cabling works in Ardleigh.
It will cause the temporary closure of Wick Lane on August 12, south-east of its junction with Old Ipswich Road for a distance of 145m south-east.
* Coles Oak Lane, in Dedham, is scheduled to close from a point west of its junction with Monks Lane North.
The closure is set to commence on July 26 for five days.
* Drivers should be aware of an Ardleigh road closure.
Harts Lane will temporarily close on July 26 for two days south east of its junction with Old Ipswich Road.
* Jays Lane in Marks Tey is scheduled to close from a point 90m south west of its junction with Godmans Lane.
The closure is set to commence July 27 for one day while carriageway reinstatement works are carried out.
* Pipe repair works are to be carried out on Nayland Road in Great Horkesley
This will cause a temporary road closure from its junction with Ivy Lodge Road to its junction with Coach Road on August 1 for one day.
* Parkhurst Green Lane, Wakes Colne, is scheduled to close for five days due to connection works.
The closure will commence on July 26 from a point 70m north west of its junction with Middle Green.
