JUST under 900 Covid cases were recorded across the Colchester borough in the latest seven day period, with the borough's average infection rate rising further.
In the seven days to July 15, there were 895 coronavirus cases recorded across the borough.
The borough's average infection rate during this week was 459.7 cases per 100,000 people.
This has jumped by more than half, or 50.4 per cent, compared with a week earlier.
Abbey Field continues to have the highest infection rate in the borough, with it now being above 950 cases per 100,000 people.
Mile End and Braiswick is now second, with a rate of 638.2 cases per 100,000 people, and also recorded the most cases with 95.
Stanway has shot up into third position, with a rate of 591.1 cases per 100,000 people.

- Monkwick - 464.4 cases per 100,000 people
- Marks Tey & Wakes Colne - 438.3 cases per 100,000 people
- Old Heath & Rowhedge - 402.7 cases per 100,000 people
- Horkesley Heath, Langham & Dedham - 391.7 cases per 100,000 people
- Parson's Heath - 365.8 cases per 100,000 people
- Greenstead - 360.6 cases per 100,000 people
- Wivenhoe & University - 349.7 cases per 100,000 people
- West Mersea - 329.4 cases per 100,000 people
- Layer-de-la-Haye, Abberton & Mersea East - 321.8 cases per 100,000 people
- Lexden - 317.6 cases per 100,000 people
- Tiptree - 276.4 cases per 100,000 people
- West Bergholt & Wormingford - 230.4 cases per 100,000 people

Tendring's average infection rate also continues to rise and was 431.2 cases per 100,000 people during the week to July 15.
There were 632 cases in the district during this week.
