COLCHESTER Zoo's popular animal encounters have restarted, bosses at the attraction have announced.
Visitors are once again able to learn more about the zoo's many inhabitants from those who know them best.
Each encounter is based on either a feeding time, training session, enrichment activity or simply gives visitors the chance to hear from the Animal Care Team about the species.
Many of the zoo's favourite species are featured including the Amur tigers and Bornean orangutans.
In fact, there are 20 different animals involved in the encounters, with 21 sessions taking place on a single day.
A spokesman for the zoo said: "We’re excited to have welcomed back our daily Animal Encounters this week.
"They are a great way to learn more from our Animal Care Team about some of our species.
"Don’t forget to download the Colchester Zoo app to get directions to all the encounters."
