AN off-road quad bike was spotted being driven in Lawford in an "antisocial manner", so police officers issued the rider with a warning.

The Harwich Community Policing Team was on high visibility patrol in Lawford during the weekend, this was part of the antisocial awareness week.

During a patrol an off-road quad bike was being driven through Church Hill in an antisocial manner, so officers issued the rider with a warning notice.

A spokesman for the force said: "We will be continuing to monitor the area and will take appropriate and proportionate action against anyone found to be driving illegally, or in an antisocial manner especially if they are putting themselves or others at risk.

"This could include seizure of the vehicle."
