A FURNITURE store has been forced to shut after its showroom floor became flooded when rainwater poured from the ceiling.
Hatfields Budget & Clearance Store, in Peartree Road, Stanway, has been temporarily closed today due to “rain damage”.
The large site aims to reopen to the public tomorrow but some areas may remain cordoned off to customers in order to ensure their safety.
In a statement published on social media: "Hatfields Budget & Clearance Store will be temporarily closed today due to rain damage.
“We aim to reopen as usual tomorrow but please be aware that there may be a few areas in-store that are cordoned tomorrow off temporarily.
