DRIVERS are being urged to avoid the A12 following an accident.
The A12 northbound between Colchester United's Football Ground and the Crown Interchange is partially blocked after an accident earlier this morning.
Traffic is heavy and congestion is heading back to the Eight Ash Green interchange.
There are also delays to the A133 through Colchester.
Essex Highways said normal traffic conditions are expected between 8.30am and 8.45am.
A spokesman said: "There are currently delays of 30 minutes against expected traffic."
