A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of rape after a victim reported being sexually assaulted at a Colchester park.
Essex Police were called to Abbey Field, in Shrub End, at about 5.20am on Wednesday.
The victim, a man in his 30s, was distressed and reported being sexually assaulted.
A cordon was set up on part of the park until Wednesday afternoon and a forensic tent was also spotted in the area.
Essex Police have now confirmed a man has been arrested in connection with the incident.

A spokesman said: "A 37-year-old man from Colchester has been arrested on suspicion of rape.
"He is currently in police custody."
