THE old home of Argos in Colchester town centre has gone up for sale for offers over £750,000.
The building, in Long Wyre Street, is being marketed to potential investors via Rightmove.
Arranged over two floors the building is home to the former Argos unit at ground level and offices above.
Argos closed in October but still has a store at Tollgate retail park in Stanway.
Over both floors the building provides almost 30,000 sq ft of space.
The advert states: "Whilst the property currently benefits from Class E use, the vendor believes other uses would be favourably considered by Colchester Council including residential, medical, office and educational uses.
"Plans prepared on the basis of a comprehensive residential redevelopment support a scheme for 31 units. These are available upon request."
