POLICE are investigating reports of a serious assault in Colchester town centre.
Essex Police are appealing for footage of an incident in Head Street, Colchester, last night at around 5.20pm.
A spokesman for the force's control room launched an appeal on social media.

They said: "If you have witnessed the incident or have any dashcam footage please contact us."
Anyone with information can call Essex Police on 101 or use the force's online 'Live Chat' function quoting incident 893 of August 19.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "We are investigating an assault in Colchester where a man was struck to the head.
"We were called to Head Street at 5.20pm on Thursday, August 19.
"It was reported the victim, a man in his 40s, and his partner had become involved in an argument with another man and woman and was then assaulted.
"Our enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
"We need anyone who saw anything or has any CCTV, dash cam or mobile phone footage to come forward.
"If you have any information you can submit a report online at https://www.essex.police.uk or use the 'Live Chat' button to speak to an online operator between 7am-11pm.
"Please quote the crime reference number 42/172958/21.
