POLICE have issued a closure order on a property in Colchester as part of a crackdown on antisocial behaviour.
Working with Colchester Borough Homes, Essex Police's Colchester team shut down the property last week following up on concerns from the public.
A closure order means no one is allowed to enter the property, at the risk of prosecution.
A spokesman for Essex Police Colchester said: "One of our force priorities is to crack down on antisocial behaviour.
"We often work with partner agencies to decide the best agency placed to deal with such matters and how we can work together to resolve the problems.
"This week has seen us working with Colchester Borough Homes to place a closure order on a property due to the amount of antisocial behaviour from the address.

"A closure order gives the police and the local authority the power to prosecute anybody in breach of the order and the conditions can include having no persons on the premises including the owner or tenant."
