LOOSE Women presenter and former X Factor star Stacey Solomon caused a stir after hiring out Leisure World in Colchester for a private pool party.

The heavily pregnant TV star splashed out to hire Leisure World last night for an evening of fun with her family and friends on Friday.

Describing it as "the best evening" Stacey said she was surprised by how reasonable the price was the hire the pool.

Stacey and friends had the popular pool all to themselves to enjoy some uninterrupted fun, splitting the cost between them.

Taking a break from decorating her daughter to be's nursery, Stacey, 31, took a dip alongside her two-year-old son Rex.

When born, her expected daughter will live alongside her and Joe Swash, Rex, Joe's son Harry, 14, and Stacey's children - Leighton, nine, and Zachary, 13.

However, it isn't just celebrities who can hire out the popular leisure pool, with its famous flumes, either.

The pool can be rented out for birthday parties and the like - or if you just fancy a swim with a bit more privacy.

Colchester Council, which runs Leisure World, offers a number of different private hire packages.

Here is what you need to know:

Leisure Pool

Private hire of the Leisure Pool at Leisure World starts from £258.

This includes use of the flumes and the wave machine, however, the use of the rapids is excluded.

There is a maximum of 225 guests who can attend a private hire event.

Full payment is required at the time of booking, with a non-refundable deposit of £50.

A Saturday or Sunday evening booking is more expensive, costing £412.

The flumes will also only be available between 6.45pm and 8.15pm per evening.

For an extra £25 Leisure World also offers hire of its Poolside Juice Bar.

It is open for the during of the party and the price includes ten free hot beverages.

Refreshments can also be organised, with children's lunch boxes available for £3.50 each.

Teaching Pool

Leisure World also has a popular teaching pool, which is normally available for private hire at a cost of £155.

However, bookings can't be made at the moment.
