PART of Castle Park in Colchester popular amongst dog walkers has been closed so the area can be set up for an event.
Lower Castle Park has been closed until Wednesday, September 1, so it can be set up for Olly Murs' upcoming gig at the venue.
Olly will perform to crowds in the in the park on Sunday.
Upper Castle Park remains open as usual but is not open to dog walkers.
Colchester Council said there were other dog friendly areas available nearby.

A spokesman for the council said: "Kings Meadow, Land Lane and Riverside Walk are all within an easy walk and dog friendly for those who still wish to take their pet for a stroll.
"Upper Castle Park will remain closed to dogs. We apologise for any inconvenience."
