A man and a woman have been arrested after an assault in Colchester town centre.
Essex Police are investigating the incident after officers were called to Queen Street and Short Wyre Street shortly after 1.10pm yesterday.
It was reported the two victims, a man and a woman, were attacked after attempting to break up an argument.

A police spokesman said: "A 40-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman from Colchester were arrested on suspicion of assault.
"They remain in custody for questioning."
