A MAN has been charged with drink driving after a crash in Colchester Road, Heybridge yesterday afternoon.
The road collision took place near Bentalls Shopping Centre shortly before 2.45pm yesterday (September 6).
The collision involved two vehicles.
It was reported one of them had fallen onto its side.
East of England Ambulance Service, Essex County Fire & Rescue Service, and Essex Police all arrived on the scene.
Residents reported the incident had caused traffic across Maldon, particularly in Heybridge, as Colchester Road was partially blocked.

John Willis, 38, of Pitt Avenue, in Witham, is due to appear at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on September 21.
Update 11:15: East of England Ambulance Service comment.
The ambulance service was called at 3.19pm yesterday with reports of the collision.
An ambulance and ambulance officer were sent to the incident.
An East of England Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "One person was taken to Broomfield Hospital for further care."
