A PATIENT was taken to hospital after a crash on a busy road in Colchester.
Emergency services were called to Hythe Quay at about 7pm on Tuesday evening.
The East of England Ambulance Service sent one unit to the scene following reports of a collision.
A spokesman said: "Crews treated one patient at the scene before transporting them to Colchester Hospital for further care."

Roads in the area were blocked off by police after the crash, which is believed to have involved a cyclist.
