A BIG-name pizza chain has revealed plans to open a new eatery in Colchester High Street.
Fireaway wants to open a new restaurant in the town as part of huge its expansion plans for 2021.
Since launching in London in 2016 the brand now has more than 75 sites across the country, including in Essex in Southend and Harlow.
A planning application has been submitted by Jack Kenworthy to install new signage featuring the Fireaway brand and a new shopfront on a unit in Colchester High Street, which used to be home to an opticians.
The Fireaway brand prides itself on the quality of its pizzas, which can be produced in just 180 seconds.
Customers choose from different bases, cheeses and toppings before their pizza is created in front of them in a 400c oven.

Its famous Nutella pizza has also become known across the UK.
Both dine-in and takeaway is available at most of the chain's restaurants, which are often franchises.
