A FARM in Wormingford has picked up top awards for its range of artisan crisps.
Fairfields Farm has been awarded three coveted Great Taste Awards in this year’s competition.
Known as the ‘Oscars’ of the food world the awards recognise standout products from across the UK.
Fairfields Farm's has been awarded three 1-star Gold Awards for its Lightly Sea Salted, Sweet Chilli and Adnams Ghost Ship crisps.
Fairfields Farm has been producing crisps for 13 years using hand-selected potatoes.
It grows its own special varieties of crisping potatoes which are hand cooked on the farm all using renewable energy.
Laura Strathern, co-founder of Fairfields Farm, said: "We are incredibly proud to have been presented with four gold awards in The Great Taste Awards.
“The snack market is hugely competitive but we one of a small handful of UK producers that cooks crisps from home grown potatoes on the farm and I think that quality really comes through in our products.”

The Great Taste Awards is the world’s largest and most trusted food and drink awards, with a panel of experts including chefs, buyers, food writers and retailers deciding which products will receive these accolades.
During vigorous taste testing, the judges described Fairfields Farm Lightly Sea Salted as "an evenly-cut crisp, with a lovely crunchy texture. Seasoning is well distributed and just spot on".
The Sweet Chilli variety was described as having "real integrity, incredibly moreish...we couldn’t stop eating them.”
