COLCHESTER United youngsters Sam Cornish and Ted Collins have joined Pitching In Isthmian League division north side Maldon and Tiptree on loan.
The U's academy pair will head out to the Jammers - managed by former U's favourite and promotion winner Wayne Brown - to gain first team experience.
U's Director of Football, Tony Humes told the club's website: "Both Sam and Ted have been around the first team squad, but have struggled to break through.
"They will gain experience and confidence from playing more competitive football at Maldon and Tiptree and we look forward to welcoming them back later this season."
