Hundreds of properties left without electricity after power cut
Residents in villages surrounding Colchester are without power this afternoon.
UK Power Networks says a power cut has been reported at four postcodes.
Those affected are:
- CO10 0
- CO10 5
- CO6 4
- CO8 5
They estimate power will be back on between 1pm and 2pm.
On the UK Power Networks website it says: "We're sorry for any disruption this may be causing you.

"We were investigating a high voltage overhead electricity line fault which caused a power cut in the local area."
It is thought 1,057 customers have been affected with 11 calls made to the power firm.
