Burglars stole a family's "most treasured belongings" during a raid on a home in Wivenhoe.
Detectives at Essex Police are investigating after the home in Tower Road was targeted.
The victim reported thieves had broken into their home sometime between 6.30pm on Thursday September 23 and 2.15pm on Friday September 24.
A spokesman said: "Thieves stole some of the family’s most treasured belongings including jewellery, an ornate wooden box, a bike and a games console, belonging to the victim’s daughter.
"Detectives are asking anyone that may have dashcam or Ring doorbell footage from the area to please get in touch.
"If you believe you may have found any of the items discarded in the nearby area, please handle with care and report it."
