A collision earlier this afternoon caused havoc on the A120 for commuters travelling along the road which is well-known as an accident blackspot.
What actually happened?
There was a crash involving a lorry and a van on the A120 at Coggeshall.
Where exactly did it take place?
Between the B1024 and Old Road.
When did the collision occur?
Around 2:20pm – that is the time East of England Ambulance Service were called to the scene following reports of a collision.
How many people were involved?
Three patients were treated by emergency services at the scene, and one person was transported by road to Broomfield Hospital for further assessment.
Was anybody hurt?
Thankfully, nobody died as a result of the crash. Essex Police later confirmed that there were no life-threatening or life-changing injuries sustained by anybody involved.
Which emergency services were deployed to the scene?
East of England Ambulance Service confirmed that two ambulances, two rapid response vehicles, the hazardous area response team and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance all attended the scene.

Is the road still closed?
The closure of the A120 was announced at 2:48pm. As yet, there has been no announcement confirming the re-opening of the carriageway.
