AFTER a difficult 18 months, a Tiptree salon owner is “over the moon” to have won two beauty industry awards.
Tatiana Leech owns the popular Revive Beauty Lounge in Tiptree.
She is originally from Slovakia and first came to the UK in 1999.
Despite English not being her first language, she didn’t let this stop her and worked hard in various roles to brush up her skills.
After a while of working full-time in a manufacturing role, Tatiana wanted a complete career change.
Seven years ago she decided to go on a course as a lash artist.
She said: “I was so scared, but I did it and had an extra income.”
The move was successful as Tatiana has gone from strength to strength.
In 2019, she opened a salon in Tiptree’s Tower Business Park.
“This really is a dream come true for me, growing my business to a level that allows me my own beauty salon,” she added.
“I have always been passionate about beauty and showing my clients how they can really look their best.
The business now offers a range of beauty and holistic treatments.
The past 18 months during the pandemic were tough for many businesses including the hair and beauty industry.
Throughout this time Tatiana worked on growing her business.
She refurbished the beauty salon and expanded with a nail salon in the retail park.
She has also launched a Moment of Kindness and created a certificate for clients who supported her during the pandemic last year and collaborated with another business for Mother’s Day.
Such is her popularity, Tatiana has managed to keep 95 per cent of her client base and has grown with new clients daily.
The business received two awards in the British Beauty Awards.
“Since moving to the UK and achieving a dream to be my boss I believe I am already a winner to many of my family, friends and clients.
“I am so happy to be part of the British beauty industry. I’m over the moon to be a winner in two categories.”
The lounge received bronze for the Best New Business of the Year in East of England.
She was also awarded silver for Self-Employed Individual of the Year.
