A TALENTED artist who has been helping mould and nurture creative prodigies of all ages is set to host her very own exhibition.
Lupe Cunha has been running classes at Cuckoo Farm Studios, in Mile End, Colchester, since taking on a studio space at the complex in 2014.
Her self-dubbed Benham Gallery has morphed into a calming and educational space in which people can learn all about art and hone their craft, and paint outdoors.
Not to be deterred from exercising passion for creation and teaching others by the coronavirus pandemic, during the various lockdowns she conducted virtual lessons.
Now, in celebration of society’s – albeit tentative – return to normality, Lupe has curated an exhibition at which her work and that of her students will be displayed.
In addition to Lupe, the exhibition will consist of pieces contributed by Wendy J Allen, Chris Odell, Zelda Tolley, Lindsay Wright, Sara Scott, Lesley Carter, and Val Mollison.
The Brazilian painter’s event, boasting creations by eight different artists, will take place at the recently reopened Sentinel Gallery, in Wivenhoe.
It will launch with an exclusive private viewing on November 5, between 6pm and 9pm, and then run every day between 10.30am and 5pm until November 10.
