Colchester United are set to travel to non-league side AFC Sudbury in the first round proper of the FA Cup tonight.

AFC Sudbury play in the eighth tier of English football in the Isthmian Division One North, and have already won five games to get to this stage of the competition.

With a difference of four leagues between Colchester and the Suds, they might fancy their chances of a huge upset.

The U's have had a mixed start to the League Two season so far, currently sitting in 17th place, and will be looking to avoid another slip-up to a non-league side in this tournament.

Back in 2017 they fell to defeat at home to Oxford City, while last year they were knocked out by eighth tier Marine on penalties.

Additionally, Colchester have not made it past the first round since 2015, so boss Hayden Mullins will be looking to finally amend that.

The match is one of several scheduled for live coverage on either the BBC or ITV this weekend.
