A POPULAR family-run business has unveiled plans to offer even more to its customers.
Millins of Tiptree has been a staple of the village since it was first established in 1969.
Since 2016, butchers Darren and John Millin have been expanding the business to offer more to its customers.
Millins has five lunch trucks covering Tiptree as well as Colchester, Witham , Braintree, Maldon and surrounding areas.
These vans deliver products to places of work.
There’s also the Mobile Truck which takes the butchers items straight to villagers’ doorsteps.
Now the business is planning to increase its services even further to its customers.
Millins’ Lunch Stop was once the original butchers shop but as the business moved buildings it was built up into a coffee shop.

But as the pandemic and following lockdowns happened it had to close down.
Despite the lockdown the butchers was seeing more demand from customers.
As Darren and John are major foodies they started to get the ball rolling and planned a revamp of the coffee shop.
Charlotte Abrehart, of G Millin and Sons Ltd, said: “We’ll be able to sell wines, beers, spirits, that kind of thing.
“We’ll be doing hampers, then we’ll have a multi-deck wall of cheese so it’s a really open cheese counter but everything will be displayed.
“We’re going to have hot food as well so we have a really lovely hot box coming where we’ll sell Millins breakfast items.”
The bosses hope to open the Lunch Stop to customers in early December but is currently waiting to hear back about its premises licence.
After opening the newly revamped space they also hope to offer more outside catering to its customers.
“Since the coffee shop has been shut we haven’t had the staff or the space to do the buffets and they were doing really well before lockdown so we’re hoping to go full steam ahead with them again.”
