POLICE are investigating after a cyclist was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a collision in Colchester.
The incident took place at the roundabout at the bottom of Balkerne Hill where it meets Crouch Street West shortly after 11am on Tuesday (November 23).
The cyclist - a man aged in his 80s - remains in hospital.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "The collision involved a black Ford Ka and a grey bicycle and we believe it would have been witnessed by a number of people.
"We are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of the incident to come forward."
