A RESTAURANT has apologised to its customers after having to temporarily close due to several of its staff members testing positive for coronavirus.
Romano Lounge, which is located in Long Wyre Street, Colchester, has been forced to shut its doors after workers returned positive Covid-19 results.
It is understood none of the employees have fallen seriously ill and bosses are confident they did not catch the virus from within their venue.
A spokesman for Romano Lounge, which is run by Loungers, said: “Unfortunately, we have had to make the decision to close temporarily.
“Some of our team members have tested positive for coronavirus - they are not seriously unwell and we do not believe this to have originated from within the Lounge.
“Under current Government guidance we have asked the rest of our team to get PCR tests and wait for results.
“We understand this news will be of concern to those of you who have recently visited Romano Lounge.
“But rest assured all precautions will be taken when it comes to guests safety. Our sincere apologies for any anxiety caused, and we look forward to seeing you soon.”
