For the second day in a row there are no PCR tests available in England.
People in England are once again unable to book a PCR test at walk-in and drive-in centres.
They are also unable to order PCR tests for home.
Test booking was also unavailable in England for large parts of Wednesday.
No PCR tests available in England
According to the Government website, there are no PCR tests available for booking in England.
The site shows that PCR tests are not available in any English region.
PCR test kits which are posted to people’s homes, usually arriving the following day, are unavailable for both the public and essential workers, the website says.
Elsewhere in the UK, parts of Northern Ireland also have limited availability.
While they are available in Down, there are very few available in Antrim and Derry. While there are no PCR tests available in Tyrone, Fermanagh and Armagh.
PCR tests are available at walk-in and drive-in centres in all regions of Wales and across Scotland.
Where can I get lateral flow tests?
Although lateral flow tests are not currently available to order, you can pick them up in person from various locations. These include:
Local pharmacies
Covid testing centres
Nursery or childcare provider
Schools, colleges and universities
Some workplaces
