AN ASSAULT in St Botolph’s Street last summer has seen a man charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.
On Saturday August 28 of last year, a man was left in a life-threatening condition after an assault in the early hours of the morning.
The accused, 21-year-old Jacob Wilson of Erle Havard Road, West Bergholt, has been bailed to attend Colchester Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday February 8.
The victim of the assault was found near the junction with Queen Street and taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Though no longer in a life-threatening condition, the man is still in hospital.
Three other people arrested in connection with the investigation will face no further action.
