FROM non-stop wins to narrowly avoiding elimination, it came worryingly close for Apprentice hopeful Brittany Carter in the latest episode of the popular TV show.

The Essex University graduate survived a big scare after she was in the bottom three.

The task was to create a new video game and playable level before pitching to industry experts and

Brittany nominated herself to be the project manager.

However, mistakes in the spelling of the game’s name and inaccuracies in the detail let the team down.

Brittany’s vision was to create a game in the Arctic, saving animals due to melting ice caps.

She wanted to create a game which was based around a real-life and educational issue, aimed for ages of ten and up.

The task was running smoothly, until a huge error turned the tides.

When coming up with the idea for a name, the branding team of Francesca, Akshay and Sophie, decided on ‘Artic Saviour’, notably spelling the first word wrong.

Upon finding out, Brittany was very upset about the error.

She said: “We are supposed to be educating people and we haven’t spelt Arctic right; it is such a big mistake.”

Baroness Karren Brady, who was overseeing the team, said: “When you’re gaming you want to have fun, you want to have an emotion.

“Well, the only emotion in the game at this point is quite sad, animals dying, and the planet being destroyed.”

During the pitch, they were critiqued on the spelling, as well as the idea of saving penguins, who do not come from the Arctic, but the Antarctic.

No expert invested in the game, and the team lost the challenge.

Brittany defended her decisions, claiming she wanted a game that separated them from typical games already on the market.

She called back Sophie and Francesca into the boardroom alongside her, and after some much heated tension, it appeared Lord Sugar was going to send Brittany home.

However, in the end, it was the spelling error that cost Francesca her place, allowing Brittany to survive for another week.
