AN award-nominated comedian described as a “blazing talent” who is “profoundly moving” is set to perform at a historic town centre venue this month.

Ahir Shah, who has left audiences laughing across the world, will bring his newest stand-up show Dress to Colchester Arts Centre on next Thursday.

His latest stand-up routine follows his previous critically acclaimed show Dots, which concluded with a sold-out run at London’s Soho Theatre in 2019.

During his performance in Colchester, which is part of his UK tour, Ahir will blend philosophical inquiry and personal examination with side-splitting gags.

Gazette:

Ahir, who has staged shows at the likes of Melbourne International Comedy Festival and Just for Laughs in Montreal will focus on significance and insignificance.

The famed comedian has appeared on everything from Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News For You, QI, and Mock the Week to Frankie Boyle’s New World Order.

He has also written and starred in Ahir Shah’s Summer on Sky Arts and Ahir Shah’s Life Lessons and been nominated for two Edinburgh Comedy Awards.

Tickets for the funny man’s Colchester show, which takes place on February 17, cost £12 or £10 for concessions and can be purchased from colchesterartscentre.com.
