A MAN who ignored an enforcement notice telling him to remove an outbuilding and fence has been ordered to pay £2,100.
Richard Swain, 25, of Cowdray Avenue, Colchester, was issued with an enforcement notice by Colchester Council in October 2020.
The notice ordered him to demolish an outbuilding, fence, and debris from an address in Cowdray Avenue.
Swain was charged with breaching the enforcement notice and brought before Colchester Magistrates’ Court.
He initially denied the offence and had been due to stand trial but on February 9 changed his plea.
Magistrates fined him £200 and ordered him to pay £1,905 in costs and a £34 victim services charge.
