A MAN has been left hospitalised with life-changing injuries after suffering serious stab wounds following a vicious attack.
Essex Police were called to concerning reports of an incident in Hatcher Crescent, Colchester, at 8.15pm on February 17.
After arriving at the scene, they found a 49-year-old man in Hythe Station Road who had sustained stab wounds to his abdomen and to his arm.
The victim, whose injures have been described as life-changing, was subsequently transported to hospital, where he still remains nearly one week on.
The force has now launched an investigation and is appealing for anyone with information to contact them as soon as possible.
A spokesman said: “We have started an investigation and our enquiries are ongoing.
“We need anyone who saw anything or has any CCTV, dash cam, or doorbell footage to contact us quoting crime reference 42/41720/22.
