KEEN runners are being invited to take part in a road race on behalf of a charity dedicated to fighting testicular and ovarian cancers.
The Robin Cancer Trust is offering up several free running places for the upcoming Atwell’s Colchester Half Marathon, which takes place on May 22.
Anyone who signs up for one of the complimentary spots will receive a free running top and access to an online running community.
In exchange for the free place in the race participants are asked to raise £200 for the organisation, for which they will receive support.
Darren Couchman, community engagement manager for the Robin Cancer Trust, said: “It's awesome to have the Attwell's Colchester Half Marathon back.
“We are truly grateful to the organisers, Colchester Colne Round Table and Running Colchester, for choosing to support us.
“We'd love for as many people as possible to come and join our amazing team of charity runners and take on the 13.1-miles around historic Colchester.
“With our runners' support we can continue to raise awareness of testicular and ovarian cancer and continue to support people who are newly diagnosed.
“We can't wait for - it's going to be a fantastic day.”
