ARMED police have been spotted in Braintree with numerous police cars on the scene of an incident., according to witnesses.
Between 9am and 10am this morning, a police presence had been noticed by residents at Coldnailhurst Avenue in the town.
Residents have reported seeing roadblocks at the street and its junction with Arnham Grove.
One witness claimed to see three marked police cars, one unmarked police car and armed police at the scene at 9.40am.
The reason for the police presence is currently unknown but Essex Police have been approached for comment.
