A MAN has been handed nine penalty points and fined £400 after admitting driving without due care and attention at a level crossing.
Paul Brandreth, 48, of Dedham Road, Boxted, was charged with driving without due care and attention at the level crossing in Chitts Hill in Colchester on November 29.
Brandreth admitted the offence when he appeared at Colchester Magistrates’ Court on March 8.
He was given nine penalty points and fined £400.
Magistrates also ordered him to pay a £40 victim services fund charge and £105 prosecution costs.
