A FOUL smell in Colchester is being investigated by the town’s MP.

In recent days, residents have complained about the odour surrounding Hythe Quay.

Will Quince says he visited the Anglian Water Colchester Water Recycling Centre to check out the measures being implemented to reduce the smell.

He said: “I can inform residents their new odour control unit is due on September 16 and the completion date for their import tank is April 29.

“I will continue to keep residents updated.”
