FIREFIGHTERS had to use a thermal imaging camera to check the contents of a grain burner were not on fire.
Crews from Witham, Colchester and Chelmsford were called to a premises in Station Road, Witham shortly before 3.30pm on Saturday.

A fire brigade spokesman said: “The fire was out on arrival but crews had to empty the 7m by 2m roaster of the barley stored inside and use a thermal imaging camera to make sure it wasn’t alight.”
The cause of the fire was deemed accidental.
