A WOMAN was hospitalised with serious injuries after a collision involving a car on a busy road, leading police to launch an investigation.
Essex Police were called to Eastern Approach, in Colchester, shortly after 9.15pm on March 17 after reports of an incident between a red Peugeot 206 and a pedestrian.
The collision occurred at the roundabout which connects the road to the Tesco supermarket and resulted in a woman in her 50s suffering serious injuries.
She was subsequently taken to hospital by paramedics for further treatment and so far no arrests have been made by the force.
The police are, however, now appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage which could aid their investigation to contact them as a matter of urgency.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: “Anyone with information about the collision is urged to get in touch with us.
“If you have any information you can submit a report online at essex.police.uk or use the Live Chat button to speak to an online operator between 7am and 11pm.
“You can also call us on 101 or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Please quote incident 1328 of 17 March.”
