FAMILIES were welcomed to visit Layer Marney Tower this Easter, to meet the baby lambs and bottle feed them.
Run differently from previous years, families had the opportunity to take a tractor ride to the pen and get up close and personal with the lambs. In the true Easter spirit, they were able to bottle feed the lambs and become acquainted with them. Plenty of fun was had in the ever-changing weather conditions that took place, and in true farmer style, wellies and warm clothes were greatly recommended.
A spokesperson for Layer Marney Tower said: “We had a fantastic turnout, with 100 visitors on our first day and 130 visitors on our second day. Parents said they enjoyed the tractor ride and the kids seemed to love feeding the lambs – for many of them it was their first time getting so close to them. The two-week old lambs are used to being bottle fed and will approach you, the two-day old lambs are a little shy, they will learn from their peers however.”
The lamb feeding will take place at Layer Marney Tower until Thursday, the 14th of April.
