A unique celebration of Good Friday is to take place today as people look to the skies above them for an Easter message.
The C3 Church, which has congregations in Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, and Colchester, has organised for a skywriter to fly over Castle Park to spell out a message in the sky.
Known as Sign in the Sky, the event will take place at 4pm today, though people will be gathering at Castle Park from 3.30pm.
Before then, the C3 Centre, Abbey Fields, will host two hours of family fun including bouncy castles, glitter tattoos, games, and an Easter egg hunt for children under 11 from 10am until noon.

One of the organisers of the event, Sarah Hewitson, said she was looking forward to people seeing the message on Good Friday.
She said: “We are excited to spread a message of love on Friday, and invite people into the Church on Easter Sunday.
“We want to spread the Good Friday message as much as possible, and the symbol [written in the sky] will be seen globally.
“We’ve hired a pilot to fly over Colchester and draw the symbol – people can congregate and have a bit of fun on Good Friday,” she said.
