A POLICE investigation has been launched after the rider of an e-scooter was left with a fractured leg following a serious collision.
It is understood the rider was forced to take evasive action to avoid a blue Volkswagen van as she road along East Hill at the junction with Lewis Gardens on April 1.
The woman, who is in her forties, sustained a fractured leg after she collided with the curb at about 5pm.
Essex Police says the blue van did not stop following the collision.
A spokesman said: “We are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision in Colchester. We need anyone who saw anything or has any dash cam footage to contact us.”
