TWO teenagers have been arrested following a crash involving a car which drove away from police despite being asked to pull over.
Essex Police are investigating after a vehicle failed to stop for officers at about 7.30pm on Friday before crashing in Mersea Road, Colchester.
The incident, which was also responded to by paramedics from the ambulance service, involved at least one other vehicle and resulted in an intersection with Berechurch Hall being blocked.
An 18-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop when directed, and possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.
A 19-year-old woman has also been arrested on suspicion of taking a motor vehicle without the owners consent and possession with intent to supply a Class A drug.
They are both currently in custody.
