A CYCLIST was left with a fractured wrist after being hit by a car which then drove off.
Essex Police is now appealing for witnesses or motorists with dash cam footage to come forward and help with its investigation.
The collision took place at about 5.50pm on Wednesday, April 20 after a dark coloured vehicle pulled out of East Mersea Road onto The Strood, Peldon.
It is said the car then collided with a cyclist in their thirties who sustained a broken wrist.
It was reported to police the driver of the vehicle did not stop and drove over The Strood towards Colchester.

The force says it believes the vehicle, part registration YP07, may have been an Audi or Insignia and was being driven by a woman described as white, with shoulder-length blonde hair and aged late forties to early fifties.
A police spokesman said: “We’d like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and saw the collision, or the vehicle shortly before it happened, or has any dash cam footage to contact us.”
