POLICE have arrested a man following reports of a person threatening people with a knife.
Officers with Essex Police were called to the Halstead public gardens at 7.06pm yesterday (May 17).
Multiple units were dispatched with the first arriving on the scene at 7.11pm.
Officers detained multiple people.
A man was searched and one man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife, possession with intent to supply class B drugs, common assault, and violence to secure entry.
Essex Police is continuing its investigation and appealed to anyone who witnessed the incident, has CCTV or was in the area at the time to contact them.
A spokesman said: “If you have any information, you can submit a report online at essex.police.uk.
“Please quote incident number 1092 of 17th May 2022.”
