A PAIR of choirs will be teaming up to perform for the upcoming jubilee celebrations at a village church.
The Hedingham Singers and the Braintree Male Voice Choir will be putting on a special performance in line with the platinum jubilee.
They will also be joined by the Essex Police Band.
The concert will feature a tour in song around the British Isles, including Cwm Rhondda, the Londonderry Air, Danny Boy, and Scotland the Brave, as well as some of the Queen’s personal favourites such as Dancing Queen and songs from the musical, Oklahoma.
The second half of the show will feature a traditional flag-waving finale including Last night of the Proms’ favourites Land of Hope and Glory, Jerusalem, and Rule Britannia, with every opportunity for the audience to join in.
The event is tonight, Friday 3 June, at St Andrew’s Church, Halstead, at 7.30pm.
Tickets are on sale now and are available for £10 via ticketsource.co.uk/The-Hedingham-Singers or by phone 07790 573435.
They will also be available to purchase on the door, subject to availability.
