A CARELESS driver left a woman with several fractures after failing to check for other motorists.
David White was driving in Colchester when he collided with a moped rider shortly after 10am on October 4 of last year.
The 51-year-old was waiting to enter a mini roundabout on St Andrews Avenue when he became distracted and failed to check properly in front before moving off in a Peugeot Expert van.

Colchester Magistrates’ Court heard how he collided with a moped, leaving its rider with a dislocated and fractured left shoulder and two fractures to the left side of her pelvis.
Mr White, of Gunners Road, Shoeburyness, admitted driving without due care and attention and was handed seven points on his driving licence.
The court ordered him to pay £424 in a fine, surcharge and court costs.
