AN uninsured driver who caused a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian has been fined.
Colchester Magistrates’ Court heard how Diego Guzman was driving on Mersea Road, Colchester when he caused the collision on a zebra crossing.
When police officers were investigating on September 16, 2021, they found Guzman was also driving without insurance and only had a provisional driving licence, but was behind the wheel without L plates and was unsupervised.
Guzman, 35, of Whitehall Close, Colchester, admitted the offences and was ordered to pay £394 in a fine, costs and surcharge.
Seven points were also added to his driving licence.
