ACTION is being taken to deal with youngsters putting their lives at risk by accessing city centre rooftops.

Essex Police says its officers have been working with businesses to highlight the areas of concern in Colchester.

The force hopes to limit roof access and prevent risk and anti-social behaviour.

Last month the Gazette reported youngsters were playing on the roof of the British Heart Foundation shop, in High Street, Colchester.

The group were observed to have been dropping things from the roof and playing football.
