TWO drivers have been arrested on suspicion of drink driving in connection with a collision.
Police were called to Cressing Road, Witham, on Saturday at about 7.45am after receiving reports of a road traffic collision.
The ambulance and fire service also attended the scene. It is believed no-one was seriously injured in the incident.
Essex Police asked residents to avoid the area while the road remained closed as officers made the scene safe and ensure all fluids are removed from the surface.
A spokesman said: “Thankfully nobody is believed to be seriously injured at this time. Two drivers have been arrested on suspicion of drink driving and will be taken to custody to obtain an evidential sample.
“If you have any information, CCTV, dash cam or other footage in relation to this incident, then please get in contact with us.”
